In our Cooking and Servingware section, we bring you unusual items you won't find at your local crafts fair or pottery store. High-fired stoneware transmits heat evenly so it cooks faster, and food doesn't stick to the glazed surfaces. As with all our dinnerware, our cooking and serving pieces are lead-free and safe to use in the microwave, oven, and dishwasher.

We've done our best to make colors look as realistic as possible however we can not guarantee colors appear on your computer screen the same way they will look in your home.

HANDLED MIXING BOWL WITH WHISK

The Perfect Mixing Bowl! Ever lose your grip on the mixing bowl while madly whisking? Not with this mixing bowl! Designed by potter Hilde Schaaf, the loop handle gives you a firm grip when you put either your thumb or forefinger through the loop. You can cook or heat food in the microwave right in the mixing bowl. We make our scrambled eggs in the bowl (about 1 minute per egg) for light and fluffy eggs ready to turn out onto your plate. No oil or grease needed, add all your seasonings before cooking. Bowls are approx. 7 to 8 inches in diameter, with a maximum 4 cups capacity.

MARVELOUS PIE & QUICHE PANS

Our stoneware pie dishes will truly give you the best pie you have ever made. Stoneware is a natural insulator, and so retains heat and radiates it into your crust for an even bake with no burned bottom crust, as glass and metal baking pans can do. Our wider pie pan is 11" in diameter and about 2" deep. The slightly smaller but deeper quiche pan also serves well for breakfast specialties like apple crumb cake or cinnamon rolls. Both the pie pan and the quiche pan are available in all our house glazes.

FRENCH BUTTER KEEPERS

Do you hate hard butter that tears up your bread? These are one of our most popular stoneware items - they keep your butter soft and spreadable, and fresh too! The top lid section holds between 1 to 2 cubes of butter (soften it and then pack it in with a knife). Fill the bottom about half full with water and set the top section in the bottom. The water seals the butter away from oxygen, keeps it fresh and ready to use. To use, simply lift off the top, turn it right-side up, and your butter is ready to serve. You'll never have to fight with hard butter again! Sizes are all approx 4-5".
